Our patented blood bag tags are supplied blank and are easily printed through a direct thermal printer and attached to the blood bag, with a tamper-proof, self-adhesive fastener. The blood bag tags are resistant to water, soaps, alcohol & common chemicals used in blood banks, hospital wards, theatres and laboratories, reducing the likelihood of blood units being wrongly administered.

The blood bag tag contains a selection of printable areas, to record both the patients and transfusion staff details, and also will allow a handwritten signature to be added. Additionally, there are a number of perforated areas which also contain labels and can be detached and used on patients notes for accurate recording of the transfusion process..

Printing Details

All of our blood bag tags can be be printed using leading, direct thermal transfer printers – including Toshiba TEC, Zebra, Citizen, TSC, Maxatech, Intermec & Brother models.

As with all other BRENMOOR identification products, they will accept GS1 and all standard barcode formats.
